We are open to part time working over 30 hours per week across 5 days a week between the hours of 8.

30am to 5pm

Salary:
£21,730 per annum, full time salary

About the Role


Do you love data and reporting? Would you like to have a role within our team where the data you maintain and report on, really influences how we continuously improve our care.


At the Heart of Kent Hospice, every role impacts how we provide care to our patients; this role, whilst not patient facing, is no exception.

Based within a small, hybrid hot desking data team this role provides essential, robust reporting to patient facing teams and senior teams to inform further reporting and decision making.

This team consists of both employees and volunteers.


Because we depend on the data you will be maintaining being accurate, we are looking for a new team member who has exceptionally high accuracy skills, particularly numerical accuracy.

You must really enjoy system driven reporting (70% of role) as reports are required at pace and there are peaks throughout each month with targets to be met and occasionally information is required for external reporting at short notice.


There are occasions where several departments are looking for data at the same time so you will need to be able to deal patiently with colleagues, spend time making sure you understand needs and priorities, whilst keeping patient care foremost in your mind.


You will need to manage your time effectively and be confident asking questions to get full request clarity and be as confident dealing with requests from peers, as dealing with requests from Exec members.


Full training will be provided but you will need to be highly systems orientated and data savvy, as you will be expected to sense check reports for relevance and accuracy before sharing information.

You must have strong excel skills, including producing pivot tables. Experience using i-care and/or Raisers Edge would be advantageous. You will also use Microsoft Teams often and experience using Sharepoint would be great.


Departmental team administration will be also be required, including booking meeting rooms, taking basic notes/meeting actions and you are also encouraged to take part in cross Hospice action groups such as our inclusivity group and to volunteer at Hospice events too.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of clinical reports extracted from patient information systems, including monthly and annual activity data, incident reporting and bespoke reports on an adhoc basis.
  • Assist with data projects including but not restricted to data cleansing, collation of information and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain effective databases to support the work of clinical and nonclinical colleagues.
  • Assist in maintaining both the clinical and fundraising databases, ensuring all information is correct, accurate and relevant for teams to work to their full potential.
  • Provide support to clinical meetings where required, duties including booking meeting rooms, sending out supporting documentation and any administrative follow up actions as required.
