Job Purpose:

Supporting in the delivery of outstanding service to BPP students
To support us to serve BPP students in the Student Engagement area and other areas where required.

The role is an exciting opportunity to organise and attend events, network with internal and external stakeholders, and work in a role that has national coverage working with around 13,000 students across 10 university centres across the UK.


What you'll be doing

Assist the Events and Engagement Manager with the following:

  • Planning, running and assisting welcome events, including fresher's fairs, Students' Association socials, and support student led events
  • Managing students' clubs and societies, ensuring they are set up correctly and follow set processes, provide advice & guidance on advertising & promotion, setting up online events, booking rooms, arranging refreshments
  • Managing a set budget for the clubs and societies, making payments, including handling expense claims and managing the budget spreadsheet
  • Working with Social Presidents and assist with monthly events
  • Managing and developing the social networking presence of the Students' Association including Facebook, Twitter & Instagram
  • Monitoring the Student Engagement inbox daily to meet SLA's and ensure deadlines are met
  • Liaising with local and national businesses to secure discounts for BPP students
  • Producing the Clubs and Societies section of the bimonthly Student Life magazine
  • Developing and maintaining performance monitoring systems and quality assurance procedures to provide timely data on the performance of the service (aligned to relevant internal and external benchmarks).
  • Producing and present quarterly an annual impact and performance reports for a variety of forums.

Assist the Events and Engagement Manager with the following:

  • Assisting the Head of Students' Association in raising awareness of the Students'
Association attending Induction events, delivering tailored talks and presentations to students and other stakeholders.

  • Liaising with local and national businesses to secure discounts for BPP students
  • Managing a set budget for the clubs and societies, making payments, including handling expense claims and managing the budget spreadsheet
  • Producing the Clubs and Societies section of the bimonthly Student Life magazine
  • Managing online social presidents to organise and assist with events, including regular catchup meetings, and approving budgets for events
  • Recording data as required to monitor the performance of the service
