Greater Manchester

Cobalt PS is collaborating with a Trust in Greater Manchester in the search for a candidate with extensive NHS Finance experience. The chosen individual will assist the Associate Director of Finance in delivering a comprehensive financial management and support service for the Trust, offering guidance to the Senior Finance Team and divisional management teams when needed.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a Trust at this Band 8a level in a similar capacity and will be able to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Job Summary

  • Ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, reporting, and forecasting of income in compliance with National guidelines and local contractual policies and instructions.
  • Maximize the Trust's contracted clinical income by precisely reporting the Trust's income status on a monthly basis and identifying opportunities and income risks effectively.
  • Contribute to the Trust's annual financial planning process while adhering to corporate standards and deadlines.
  • Act as a deputy for the Associate Director of Finance when necessary.
  • Assist in the monthly and year-end generation of local/national performance reports and statutory accounts.
  • Engage in discussions on complex issues with external commissioners, auditors, and Trust personnel at all levels.
