Colleague Development Executive

As a Colleague Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Colleague Development Manager in shaping and implementing development strategies for both our airport and cabin crew training teams. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our team members are equipped with the essential skills needed to excel in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment. By focusing on the right people and their professional growth, you will help foster a culture of continuous improvement and agility within our organisation. This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact, driving the success of our development initiatives and contributing significantly to the future of our agile delivery plan. Your efforts will play a key part in positioning our team to meet current and future challenges effectively.

What you'll do:

Conduct thorough analysis of future training needs based on operational requirements.​ Partner with stakeholders across the GLA, operational planning, airport, and crew training functions, to identify and mitigate skills gaps.​ Design and implement targeted development to equip trainers with the skills to excel and adapt to changes in training delivery.​ Collaborate with GLA leaders to establish succession plans to identify and develop high-potential colleagues for future training roles.​ Work closely with planning teams to ensure development strategies align with the dynamic requirements of the operation.​ Establish KPIs to measure effectiveness and ROI of development strategies, and their impact on people and our business.​ Implement tactical changes to people plans to maintain operational resilience.​ Identify and plan continual professional development for trainers. ​ Partner with GLA teams to identify and implement change to drive efficiency, productivity and transformation.​ Maintains trainer records in line with compliance standards.​ Responsible for recruitment strategies and methodology, coordinating onboarding for GLA and line trainers. ​​

What you'll bring to British Airways:

Your experience:

Strong analytical experience from a resource planning role ​ Experience in solving complex planning problems ​ Experience working with complex IR agreements ​ Effective working with external and internal partners and with cross cultural groups ​ Deep understanding of operational training for airport and cabin crew colleagues ​ Strong spreadsheet modelling and data extraction Manpower planning experience
