My client has a fantastic opportunity for a
Senior Risk & Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Senior Risk Manager in the continuous improvement of embedding the Risk Management Framework
  • Supporting the Head of Compliance in maintaining compliance with existing and emerging regulatory rules and guidelines
  • Responsible for providing 2nd line 'support and challenge' on all incidents reported by the business, and evaluating whether regulatory breaches have occurred
  • Conducting regulatory and industry horizon scanning in order to identify emerging topics that may impact business
  • Performing Compliance Monitoring reviews under the oversight of the Head of Compliance
  • Performing Risk Monitoring reviews under the oversight of the Senior Risk Manager
  • Supporting the Senior Risk Manager in keeping the risk register up to date
  • Serving as a point of reference in relation to all matters of risk and compliance
  • Support the Senior Risk Manager and Head of Compliance in the continuous improvement of policies and procedures
  • Assisting the Data Protection and Money Laundering Reporting Officer as directed including dealing with daytoday queries from the business

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years working in a similar role within the insurance sector
  • Experience of incident management processes and root cause analysis
  • Experience of risk/compliance monitoring
  • Risk CPD and Compliance CPD gained within the Financial Services industry
  • Knowledge of regulations and current legislation within the financial services arena
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Good communication skills
  • Methodical and organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
