About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Amwins Global Risks. As a key member of our Client Services division, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals and driving the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive team performance and achieve business objectives
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including management and colleagues
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional results
    • Identify and develop opportunities for team members to grow and develop their skills and expertise
    • Manage and monitor team performance, providing coaching and guidance as needed
  • Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients and partners
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expansion
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to the development of business strategy and policy, working closely with senior management
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and expertise
  • Service Delivery
    • Ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients, meeting or exceeding their expectations
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Resource Management
    • Manage team resources, including workload and staffing levels
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive productivity and efficiency
  • People Management
    • Manage and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance as needed
    • Identify and develop opportunities for team members to grow and develop their skills and expertise
  • Technical
    • Develop and maintain technical expertise, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with a strong track record of delivering results
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies and plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
  • Technical expertise in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of risk management and broking processes
