THE OPPORTUNITY

(9 month fixed term contract)

Job summary:

This role is part of the Regional leadership team and reports into the EMEA Regional Lead, collaborating with Regional and Global HR team members as needed.

The Cluster Lead is accountable for HR Service delivery in their cluster of countries (Escalated Tier 1/2 cases, In-Country Specialists). In this role you will ensure effective deployment and co-ordination of HR resources and drive continuous improvement to maximize HR service consistency, quality and scale in your cluster countries.

The role of the Cluster Leader is to partner with HRSD colleagues, COE's and HRBP's to lead a Cluster team which delivers an effective and efficient HR Cluster service which supports Matterhorn Growth, delights customers and engages HRSD team members.

Your role in our mission:

Leadership: Partner with HR Service Delivery (HRSD) colleagues, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to lead a high-performing Cluster team. Drive effective and efficient HR Cluster service delivery to support Matterhorn growth, delight customers, and engage HRSD team members.

Expert Advisory: Ensure business leaders in the Region receive advice on complex operational employee matters

Resource Deployment and Coordination: Take charge of deploying and coordinating HR resources effectively within the cluster. Ensure the deployment aligns with business needs, contributing to the success of HR service consistency, quality, and scalability.

HR Service Delivery Accountability: Be accountable for HR service delivery in the cluster, managing escalated Tier 1/2 cases, In-Country Specialists, and HR Advisors. Monitor and ensure adherence to agreed KPIs and quality standards.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in Regional HR delivery to maximize HR service quality and consistency. Identify opportunities for enhancement in HR processes and knowledge base, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement within the team

Resource and Budget Management: Effectively manage resources and budgets, ensuring optimal allocation to support efficient team operations.

Valued skills and experience:

The HR Cluster Lead in EMEA demands a skillful blend of stakeholder engagement, project management and leadership. Proficiency in building strong relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes is paramount. Resilience and adaptability are key, prioritizing customer experience and fostering continuous improvement in HR processes. Operational HR expertise is crucial and proficiency in tools like SNOW and Workday, is desirable. Effective communication and collaboration skills are vital in the complex, multi-supplier environment.

Leadership skills: Can inspire and guide remote teams across multiple countries, navigating cultural differences. Fosters collaboration, aligns with organizational goals, and excels in strategic decision-making for collective success. Is experienced in developing high-performing teams.

Stakeholder Engagement: Excels in stakeholder engagement, skillfully building relationships, addressing concerns, and fostering collaboration for successful project outcomes and HR alignment.

Project Management Skills : Exhibit strong project management competence, adeptly leading teams, coordinating tasks, and delivering successful outcomes within established timelines and resource constraints.

Continuous Improvement : Strong commitment to a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and address opportunities for enhancements in HR processes and knowledge base. Formal training in CI (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage

Operational HR Expertise : Solid understanding of operational HR services, including performance management, SNOW, and Workday. Ability to navigate and execute HR activities in multiple countries.

Decision-Making : Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and sound decision-making in high-pressure, fast-paced situations. Ability to shift priorities to meet business needs.

Customer Focus: Acts with the customer in mind. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing customer experience and building strong, productive customer relationships.

Communication Skills : Effective communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders in a complex, multi-supplier, and matrixed environment.

Teaming : Foster knowledge sharing among HR colleagues by actively collaborating on case resolution where appropriate, contributing to the collective knowledge base across the team. Collaborate with HR colleagues as part of the Account Management team that comes together to serve our businesses and functions.

Education : Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent required

Experience : ideally 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a shared services environment.

Travel : Ability to travel up to 30%.
