Role Overview
As the Operations Director, you will lead all operational aspects of the organisation, enhancing and optimising procedures with a key focus on implementing agreed strategies.
You will govern how the business operates, hold leadership roles accountable for their responsibilities and strategic objectives, and drive operational and process improvements to enhance the business's operational efficiency, ultimately achieving target gross and net profits.
Leadership & Management:
nLine management of non-fee-earning business functions/teams.nOversee all operational services, including Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and Marketing.nDevelop and manage the operational support team.
nStrategy & Planning:
nLead strategic planning, coordination, and reporting.nCollaborate with other Board members to develop functional strategies and plans.nFocus on strategy related to budgets, targets, and outputs.
nOperational Improvements:
nDrive continuous improvement across all business operations.nImplement operational changes to enhance efficiency and performance.nDevelop and execute operational strategies for change and continuous improvement.
nFinancial Management:
nOversee day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, and risk management.nEnsure all business sectors and profit centers operate effectively within budget.nManage credit control, cash flow, and business insurance.nImplement appropriate audit and control measures.nFull accountability for financial compliance and reporting.
nRisk Management:
nLead effective risk management across the organisation.nScrutinise, qualify, and ensure cost efficiency in contract proposals.
Required Experience
ACMA qualification is highly desirable.nExtensive experience in professional service business environments.nExperience working within a "consulting" business setting.nProven understanding of contract/agreement scrutiny and cost efficiency.nDemonstrated experience in central service and support function roles.nHigh degree of financial literacy.nProven management and leadership skills.nExperience in strategic business planning and implementing change.nTrack record of driving continuous improvement.nExperience ensuring EBITDA is linked to operational processes and improvement strategies.
