As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the night shift team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards while fostering a positive work environment.
What you will need to succeed:
- Supervise the night shift production team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Hold an oversight over all employees on nights, including departments outside of your control, ensuring H&S is paramount for all employees on nights.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless transitions between shifts and resolve any operational issues.
- Oversee the training and development of night shift employees to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for the night shift.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the shift, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Prepare and submit shift reports detailing production, issues, and any other relevant information.
What you will need to succeed:
- ILM qualification, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a supervisor, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in IT, knowledge of operating Microsoft D365 preferable
- Knowledge of safety regulations, best practices and lean manufacturing
