We have a vacancy for the position of a Pharmacy Support Worker within the Pharmacy Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
The job involves working within various areas of the department to ensure medicines are available as ward stock or for individual patients, they also support the Pharmacy technicians and Pharmacists who are ward based and work on the front line in a patient-facing role.
The duties will involve all aspects of pharmacy stores including the receipt of goods, filling ward stock orders,please note this area of work does involve moving and handling of bulkstock, working in the dispensary and on the wards carrying out a ward top up and pack away service.
There is mínimal patient contact in this role as our outpatient dispensing is provided by a healthcare partner in the hospital.
We're a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.
