The role.

The role of Learning Academy Lead is extremely important to us to help enable our growth strategy.

The Learning Academy Lead will join the People Development team to help create and support a learning, development, and continuous improvement culture, via the creation, curation and delivery of learning solutions across different modalities.


The role will require the design and delivery of high-quality learning solutions across a number of project areas including induction, sales, customer services, leadership, and operational effectiveness.

We are keen to maximise self-led learning solutions whilst still retaining an element of face-to-face facilitator-led delivery.

We promote a culture of continuous improvement, therefore the role will require the provision of learning solutions for both existing staff and new starters.


This role will involve facilitating learning experiences for our people and designing, developing, and delivering solutions for all areas of the business.

This will be a hands-on role and will require flexibility to support our ambitious growth plans.

Your Responsibilities Day To Day Will Include

  • Owning the content and delivery of all learning for your Academy area from design to delivery. Upskilling the business faculty to deliver and undertaking appropriate quality assurance
  • Working with the Learning teamto understand the needs of the business in order to create appropriate learning solutions with your Academy area
  • Designing learning solutions and providing facilitator notes when required for any facilitator to use easily
  • Delivering classroombased and virtual training to groups ranging from 10 to over 100 people
  • Supporting the People Development Director and the Learning team with the scope and management of learning projects
  • Ensuring version control management and accessibility for all learning material
  • Evaluating the success of learning solutions and reporting on evaluation results

What do we expect of you?

  • Demonstrable experience in a Learning and Development facilitator/trainer role in a salesbased industry
  • Design and content delivery experience including upskilling of others on your content
  • Up to date knowledge of adult learning theories and learner experiences
  • Strong reporting and presenting skills
  • Stakeholder management skills (including senior leaders)
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and diplomacy skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, personal credibility, and influencing skills
  • Confidence speaking to large groups
  • Knowledge of Learning Management systems and content creation tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline or GOMO ideal
