With over 30 years in the education sector and over 1,000,000 users in the UK, we are currently in a rapid growth phase and activelyseeking a Bids Manager to join our expanding team, the successful applicant will help to administer all aspects of the activities related to each opportunity by such activities as identifying communication channels for clarifications etc, running a "bid book",coordinating the preparation of submission including proofreading and helping raise quality to the highest level.

Job requirements
Responsibilities:

  • Login/register to relevant portals
  • Help monitor tender publications for opportunities of interest (we subscribe to a monitoring service).
  • Express interest in the relevant ITT/PQQ etc.
  • Download all documentation
  • Analyse the documentation and prepare bid book
  • Allocate the questions and circulate the Bid book with instructions for completion
  • Send clarification questions and circulate responses when received
  • Monitor the progress of completed responses and ensure timescales are adhered to
  • Arrange pricing meetings
  • Collate all completed response ready for submission
  • Proofreading and overall quality review
  • Helping prepare final submission within the requested timescales
  • Keep track of results and as necessary chase for outcome
  • Arrange win call and debriefs where possible
  • Maintain Live ITT document
  • Keep abreast of legal and framework compliance requirements related to procurements and help ensure Bromcom always remains compliant.
  • Monitor the popularity of procurement approaches used

Essential Skill requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional standard of written and verbal English
  • Project management skills: Scrum /Agile Methodology (preference)
  • Excellent coordination skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeric skills
  • Proven proofreading skills
  • Flexibility on hours
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of UK education system

Desirable Skill requirements:

One or more of the following would be an advantage

  • Knowledge of information management software services used in UK schools
  • Customer relationship skills
  • Experience as a technical author
  • Expert in Microsoft Office suite
