The primary objective of the Strategic Finance Lead role is to deliver comprehensive analysis, insights, and a thorough understanding of gross margin returns across global business units. This position will be crucial in aiding the sales and marketing divisions in their strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a finance business partner to commercial teams, driving performance and influencing behaviors through insightful analysis of key market drivers and trends.
  • Overseeing continuous forecasting and financial evaluations to pinpoint commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Generating detailed commercial reports and analyses to facilitate informed management decisions.
  • Conducting timely assessments of sales performance and margins, identifying variances, recommending actions, and measuring outcomes.
  • Reviewing and endorsing all commercial proposals, providing comprehensive financial support for bids and tenders.
  • Leading the monthly business performance reporting process.
  • Enhancing budgeting and forecasting processes, including the agreement, review, and challenge of commercial targets with departmental leaders.
  • Coordinating and spearheading the annual financial planning process for the division.
  • Improving accounting and control processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
  • Tracking and reporting monthly commercial KPIs to senior management.
  • Managing the Balance Sheet for Sales and Marketing functions.

Required Skills:

  • Qualified accountant: ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Post-qualification experience in a commercial finance role
  • Experience in team management
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Robust commercial acumen
