Due to continued expansion we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Paint Shop Operative to join our Production team at our Walton Summit site in Preston.
Main role and responsibilities
- Work to Standard Operating procedures
- Work to daily work schedule
- Ensure work meets quality standards
- Use various hand tools to prepare parts for powder coating
- Operation of Phoswash & Oven to prepare parts for powder coating
- Hanging parts on racks
- Assigning paint colours to jobs
- Sanding & preparing cabinets for powder coating
- Masking & Bunging parts
- Ability to complete job without assistance
- Loading sprayed items into the oven and operate oven
- Maintain high levels of health and safety
- Adhere to zero tolerance Health and Safety rules
- Report any Health and Safety Deviations
- Maintain high standards of house keeping
- Attend team meetings as required
- Actively take part in any Continuous Improvement events
- Recommend change to methods and tooling where appropriate
Skill Requirements
- Must be selfmotivated but also demonstrate the ability to work with enthusiasm as part of a growing team
- Must work efficiently and provide consistent high quality work product whilst working to deadlines
