Construction Technician

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Joiner to join our team at FTD Building Contractors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance repairs and quoted works on our customers' premises throughout the North West.

You will work mainly unsupervised, working one man per van, but will collaborate with other teammates on bigger jobs. Our customers include a variety of commercial establishments such as restaurants, cafes, offices, shops, and other businesses.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn new skills and adapt to minor jobs of other trades. If you have experience in plumbing or general building, that would be an asset.

  • A company van and fuel card will be provided, therefore a valid driving licence is essential.
  • You will also receive a uniform, PPE, and a company pension.
  • We offer 20 days holiday plus 8 public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize joinery techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work with a variety of materials including wood, masonry, and electrical components.
  • Perform tasks such as painting, heavy lifting, and carpentry as required.
  • Ensure all finished products meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
