Our client, Service Care Solutions Ltd, is seeking a Chartered Civil Engineer to lead their Highways and Drainage Team. This full-time, permanent role is based in Lancashire and offers a salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. The successful candidate will mentor graduate engineers and engineering technicians, assisting on existing workload and developing their skillsets to meet the required needs and demands of clients and business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring best practices are applied within the office, assisting Directors with improving design services and operational efficiency, and working experience within adoptable standards Section 278, Section 38, and 104. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in Highways and Drainage design, proficient use of AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software, and commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations. Additionally, they will be responsible for producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches, BRE digest and BS EN752, and Design and Construction Guidance. The role requires strong report writing and site visit skills to verify construction complies with construction drawings.
