Job Title: Principal Civil and Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of civil and structural design deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and customer-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team and act as the project's single point of authority and accountability for the CS&A engineering discipline.
  • Develop and manage quality plans for multi or single discipline work packages, ensuring that design deliverables are of a high standard and compliant with relevant standards, regulations, and customer-specific standards.
  • Manage resolutions to technical issues and ensure necessary change control is implemented, addressing commercial impacts.
  • Present CS&A engineering designs to clients and key stakeholders, including discipline experts and non-discipline related stakeholders.
  • Mentor a team of engineers/designers to improve their own skill sets and enhance the company's capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Chartered Member of the ICE.
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in industry, with at least 3 years at Senior Engineer level.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives, and how they should be applied.
  • Proven knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of CS&A design.
  • Broad experience of civil construction and construction management.
