The Role

As part of a diverse team, you'll be responsible for assessing care needs, developing care programs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. You'll be expected to carry out various forms of care independently, supervise staff, and demonstrate procedures. Duties will vary based on the ward's needs and patient dependency level.

Additional requirements after 2 years Post registration

You will lead, coordinate, and supervise other staff to promote best practices in patient care. In the absence of senior staff, you'll ensure the ward operates effectively.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Strong team working, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic IT knowledge

It would be great if you also have

  • Evidence of post-registration development
  • Infection control training
  • Experience in acute settings or medical admissions
  • Knowledge of best practice guidelines
  • Clinical skills such as cannulation and phlebotomy

Contract type

Permanent, full-time position (part-time considered with pro-rata salary)

37 hours per week

Location and Working Pattern

Based in Acute Medical Receiving Unit at University Hospital Monklands with rotational shifts including days, nights, and unsocial hours.
