We are seeking a Registered Night Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at NHS National Services Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing care needs and developing programmes of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop programmes of care
- Implement and evaluate care programmes, ensuring high-quality patient care
- Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision
- Supervise and demonstrate procedures to registered and unregistered staff, as well as student nurses
- Direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of other staff within the ward or department, promoting best practice in patient care
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
- Excellent team working skills, with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Evidence of post-registration development
- Infection control course/training
- Post-registration experience
- Working experience within an acute setting or a medical admissions area
- Good knowledge of SIGN, Trust procedures, and policies
- In-depth knowledge of best practice guidelines and statements
- Cannulation skills
- Phlebotomy skills
- Advanced assessment skills
- Intravenous drugs administration skills
- Venepuncture skills
This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position, with various hours available. If taking part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in a medical receiving unit within a hospital.
