THE ROLE

Are you enthusiastic about connecting with a variety of talents? Do you excel in fast-paced environments where innovation thrives? If the answer is yes, BBC Studios Creative is looking for you to become our Resource Coordinator.

We are seeking a meticulous individual with a strong grasp of networking to oversee the search for top creative and production freelance talents across our EMEA regions.

DAY TO DAY

Onboarding / Engaging Resource

  • Source, book, engage, and manage freelance talent and shoot staff.
  • Coordinate internal communications regarding resource allocations.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes and technical support for new starters.
  • Collaborate with HR for business justifications.
  • Manage email distribution lists and meeting invites for freelancers.
  • Handle kit/asset orders and returns.
  • Coordinate building access and staff pass issuance.
  • Direct new starters to relevant teams for assistance.

Resourcing / Allocation Management

  • Oversee team's annual leave bookings and update systems accordingly.
  • Participate in allocation meetings to plan resource bookings and discuss freelancer skill sets.
  • Negotiate day rates following company policies.
  • Update resource management systems with booking details.
  • Communicate project requirements to freelancers.
  • Address payment queries and assist freelancers as needed.
  • Update budgets with final resource costs.
  • Requires forward planning, budget management, and resource allocation ownership.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

KEY CRITERIA

  • Booking talent, managing resources, and onboarding new starters.
  • Experience in resource management, HR, or office administration.
  • Understanding of freelance tax regulations.
  • Budget planning and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of various disciplines in creative work.
  • Experience with resource management systems.
  • Office system maintenance and workflow creation expertise.
  • Engaging freelance staff and crew.

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of social and digital talent resourcing.
  • Familiarity with broadcast or creative teams.
  • Interest in creative content and output.
