About Our Client:

We are working with a UK distribution company in Runcorn who need additional support across the finance transactional function. This role will be in the office fulltime working in a small team of 7.

The role requires routine collaboration across the finance team, customers, suppliers, customer service and sales representatives across the business.

  • Coding and inputting supplier invoices to the purchase ledger system, processing invoices in the approval system, ensuring all invoices are issued to the correct site for approval
  • Liaising with the sites to ensure invoices are approved on time for payment to suppliers
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving supplier queries
  • Preparation of payment proposals
  • Keep supplier details, account, and other records accurate and up to date
  • Receipt and payment allocations and reallocations
  • Follow up unallocated cash and reconciling items
  • Running periodic invoices from the Laundry Management System and processing to the Sales Ledger
  • Processing manual sales invoices and credit notes in a timely manner
  • Processing direct debit collections and set up new mandates
  • Preparation of consolidated invoices and customer portal uploads
  • Resolving customer queries including liaison with servicing sites
  • Debt collection activities including reminders, monitoring agreed payment plans and nonpayment follow on actions
  • Keep customer details on the financial system accurate and up to date and advise the servicing site of changes impacting the Laundry Management System

The Successful Applicant:

  • Confidence using excel to manipulate data
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
