Background:


The Employer Engagement team at City focusses on developing, growing and maintaining relationships with a variety of employers, irrespective of size, from a range of sectors.

We help employers navigate the range of Employer Engagement provision and support them in building and maintaining their profiles at City whilst striving to create a pipeline of talent into their respective organisations.


We are committed to improving the graduate outcomes of City students which is underpinned by the strategic direction of Careers and Employability and the wider institution, and we have placed a significant emphasis on bridging the outcomes gap between our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicity and white students.


Responsibilities:

You will actively contribute to our strategic objectives relating to employability.

You will take responsibility for maintaining and cultivating strong links with employer partners of all sizes; creating employability opportunities for our students.

You will work collaboratively with academic staff and staff within Careers and Employability to ensure a seamless approach to the development and execution of provision.

You will work to target and timeline in a fast-paced environment to ensure that local targets and objectives are met.


Person Specification:


You will have relevant experience within a business development setting and be able to demonstrate effective stakeholder management/business development abilities and account management processes.


You will be experienced in working to targets; often to tight deadlines, and possess excellent organisation and forward planning skills.

A proactive attitude is required along with creative problem solving. You will have a passion to support the employability of City students, especially those who are from underrepresented backgrounds.

You will be creative and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
