We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Healthcare to be the first to join our team at HMP Millsike, a Category B men's prison, located in the village of Full Sutton near York


HMP Millsike will have an operational capacity of 1500 people who will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release as part of the government's drive to cut reoffending.

The prison site is currently under construction and Practice Plus Group were recently awarded the healthcare contract to begin delivering services in April 2025.


This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.


Salary


This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £62,000
_ _per annum - depending on experience with a car allowance and bonus.

What you'll be doing:

You will be able to provide evidence of your strong and compassionate leadership ability and have undertaken management training.

  • Be the CQC registered manager

Qualifications, experience and skills required:

  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
  • Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience as a CVC registered manager or equivalent registered body
  • Experience managing multi faceted budgets
  • Understanding of clinical governance
