About the Role

The Priory Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Psychology to join our team at Stockton Hall Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychological services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of psychological services across the hospital
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the psychology team
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and outcomes
  • Manage the resources of the psychology team and monitor workload
  • Support the Senior Management Team in managing the psychology provision
  • Exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff in the psychology team
  • Establish systems for audit and review of services

Requirements

  • Doctoral level qualification in psychology (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent clinical and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
