We are now seeking a Community Fundraising and Challenge Events Assistant to join our team where you will provide full administrative assistance and support to the Community Fundraising and Challenge Events Team ensuring that all administration and fulfilment is delivered in an efficient and timely manner.

Key duties include supporting and maintaining administrative systems and processes, research and supporter care where required, managing fundraising resources, supporting with projects and campaigns and updating our charities database.

This role is a fixed term contract for 6 months.

About You:

  • Significant experience of undertaking office administration within a busy, customer focussed environment
  • Experience of effectively dealing with a range of customer/ employee/ volunteer enquiries with a track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience of providing support to a remote, geographically dispersed team
  • High levels of IT literacy with experience of MS Office
  • Able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

About The Role:

  • Responsible for managing fundraising resources and ensuring timely despatch to volunteers and supporters
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate recording of correspondence and donations and managing the recognition processes across the function
  • Coordinate, maintain and actively develop the team social media output across a number of platforms both internally and externally
  • Triage fundraising enquiries received and respond where required ensuring all relevant information is timely and accurately recorded and maintained on the CRM in conjunction with SJA processes, procedures and the Data Protection Act.
  • Manage the administrative requirements with associated supporter journeys for challenge events such as London Marathon, Great North Run and major volunteer led events including (but not solely) mailings, telephone and resource supply and manage local volunteers
