Job Overview


This post holder will support the Head of Workforce Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering in providing a highly specialised, quality resource across the Trust for all staff groups, facilitating and enabling good employee relations (ER) by advisingmanagers and staff on best ER practice in compliance with good employment practice, employment legislation and Trust-wide standards.


The role will oversee, support and as necessary, undertake casework investigations in a range of highly complex, sensitive or contentious employment matters including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and bullying and harassment.

This will covera full range of staff groups including both medical and non-medical staff.

To provide HR advice to managers conducting formal investigations regarding ER matters.

To ensure provision of advice to all managers within the Trust regarding all aspects of employment policy and procedure for all categories of staff, as well as associatedemployment issues.

To support the Head of Workforce ER and HRBP on meeting the Trust's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for cases in formal proceedings.


To assist and support managers through all stages of HR procedures, including participating in investigations, advising on HR procedures on panels at hearings and appeal hearings, advising Chairs of panels as appropriate.

To be a key point of liaison withSolicitors during highly complex cases and Employment Tribunals, providing all relevant information for the preparation of defence case utilising their experience of preparing casework for Employment Tribunal cases
