In this role, you will engage with a variety of dogs and their owners, helping to strengthen bonds and encourage positive behaviours.
If you have relevant experience and a passion for working with both dogs and people, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Duties:
- Conduct oneonone and group training sessions for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes
- Effectively assess dog behaviour and develop tailored training plans
- Teach basic obedience commands
- Confidently address specific behavioural issues
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desirable behaviours and discourage undesirable ones
- Provide guidance and support to dog owners throughout the training process
- Stay uptodate with the latest training methods and techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment for both dogs and humans
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Prior experience in dog training is required.
- Extensive knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques is essential.
- Preferred experience includes working in doggy daycare, training facilities, veterinary, or animal care settings.
- Excellent customer service skills are necessary for effective communication with dog owners.
- Must be capable of handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
- Physical stamina is required for heavy lifting or restraining dogs when necessary.
