Duties:

  • Conduct oneonone and group training sessions for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes
  • Effectively assess dog behaviour and develop tailored training plans
  • Teach basic obedience commands
  • Confidently address specific behavioural issues
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desirable behaviours and discourage undesirable ones
  • Provide guidance and support to dog owners throughout the training process
  • Stay uptodate with the latest training methods and techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe training environment for both dogs and humans

Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Prior experience in dog training is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques is essential.
  • Preferred experience includes working in doggy daycare, training facilities, veterinary, or animal care settings.
  • Excellent customer service skills are necessary for effective communication with dog owners.
  • Must be capable of handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
  • Physical stamina is required for heavy lifting or restraining dogs when necessary.
