The Not Forgotten provide events, support, and community for wounded serving personnel and disabled veterans, helping to address isolation and loneliness, and promote a sense of community and balance.
We are proud to be the only military charity to host a Buckingham Palace garden party each year, for the benefit of both our beneficiaries and other military charities, giving us a natural convening role within the space.
The pandemic highlighted both the acute need for what we do, but also the need for us to adapt and change to meet the demands of the modern world.
Our new CEO has spent the past 6-months readying us for that journey and we're now looking for a dynamic Head of Fundraising to collaborate in that process.
This isn't about significant financial growth, but the stabilisation and diversification of our current income, to ensure we have the resilience to thrive within a rapidly changing economy.
The Role
This is a new role and represents confident investment in our fundraising team and modernisation of our fundraising portfolio. This is about building resilience and diversification, rather than major financial growth.
As with all small charities, you'll have to wear a number of hats, but you will be in a well-resourced fundraising environment and have the backing of a board and leadership team who get fundraising and will make themselves available to support it.
Our fundraising income of c.£1m is primarily made up by events and trusts, with some high-value support as well.Our events programme is unique, with most serving both a programmatic and fundraising purpose, providing variety and cross-organisational working that you won't get in all fundraising leadership roles.
With a strong future pipeline already in place, we're looking for someone who can work with our CEO to future proof our fundraising programme, as well as explore diversification of our income streams and further, strategic development of our existing supporter base.
We believe that all our stakeholders and staff are responsible for fundraising and you will be well supported in your efforts.

We try to avoid prescriptive person specifications, as they limit the diversity of experience on our team.
