Our client, a London based Insurance MGA, is looking to recruit a Human resources Director to support their ever-growing insurance portfolio. This position will report to the President and CEO and is a hybrid role with three days in the office (City) and two working from home.

This Human Resources Director is expected to live our client's core values, demonstrate them in all daily activities, and promote them amongst their employees and teams. As the HR Director, you will live our core values of: Taking Care of Each Other and Growth Through Education, Innovation, and Integrity, leading to an environment where individuals can achieve their ultimate personal and professional success.

This role is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction, and guidance of all human resource programs and services throughout our businesses.

Performance Objectives

  • Embosses exemplary leadership skills and abilities in an HR capacity while supporting business leaders
  • Leads the development of human resources strategies and ensures they align with company values and goals
  • Provides guidance, coaching and support to all leaders
  • Comprehends the financial and legal aspects of the business
  • Drives the success of human resources by managing existing stakeholder relationships and developing new ones
  • Understands the type of business our client is a part of and how human resource functions contribute to its success
  • Pursues business objectives, plans, and demonstrates commitment to team achievements within the Human Resources Department
  • Stays up to date on changing technologies and professional practice to ensure human resource services to the internal and external clients are maintained at a high level

Technical Objectives

  • Designs, develops, and implements human resource programs and policies that support company direction
  • Delivers quality human resources consulting services to client groups and acts as a resource to senior management
  • Participates on committees and special projects to stay connected at all levels with employees and leaders alike
  • Maintains responsibility for organizational legislative compliance within the business's regions pertaining to all HR related matters
  • Assists executive management in the performance review process, as well as preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary review and process
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization compliance
  • Reviews and evaluates all internal HR processes or lack thereof and ensures effective best practices are in place
  • Conducts all exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on HR related legal matters
  • Supports leaders on all employee relations issues
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on all HR related matters
  • Competent within the "Learning Centre" and functions as a Program Lead to encourage engagement, course enrolments and continued learning within the businesses
  • Supports leaders and employees with their Individual Development Plans
  • Oversight and management of the payroll processes and system
  • Oversight and administration of the Employee Benefit/Wellness Plans
  • Develops and maintains an internal human resource employee information system that meets the organization's needs
  • Supports overall company culture and initiates company events

Qualifications/Experience

  • CIPD qualified/part-qualified
  • Management experience in all HR Generalist functions
