The Role

We're on the lookout for a Registered Nurse to join the Medicine for Older Adults unit at University Hospital Wishaw.

Got room on your plate for a part-time or full-time gig at the stroke unit at UHW? No previous stroke experience required, but a keen interest in stroke could be a plus.

Join the crew providing top-notch, personalized stroke care. We need someone positive, hardworking, and adaptable with a real love for stroke care.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll handle care assessments, program development, and ensure high-quality patient care is delivered.

You should be skilled enough to provide various types of care independently, demonstrate procedures to others, and oversee staff and student nurses.

* Candidate must hold a valid UK NMC pin *

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Excellent team player with great initiative
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic IT know-how

Preferred Skills

  • Evidence of ongoing education and professional development
  • Degree in a health-related field
  • Training in infection control

  • Experience in venepuncture, cannulation, and administering drugs
