Senior Health Care Support Worker

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality care in accordance with guidance given and work delegated by Registered Nurses.

The post holder will provide clinical and clerical support in order to ensure the smooth running of the service, providing a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective.

Additional Information Specific to the Role

In addition to the clinical skills outlined in the Job description the post holder will be required to hold proficient IT skills to effectively fulfil clerical duties such as:

  • Photocopying/faxing/filing
  • Dealing with enquiries either face to face or by telephone, from the general public, patients and external agencies.
  • Provision of weekly, monthly and annual statistical returns
  • Effective use of a PC and relevant software packages to ensure accurate information is available at all times
  • Daily input to databases and/or clinical information systems as appropriate.
  • Diary management and appointment systems.
  • Day to day maintenance of departmental requirements to ensure smooth running of the department.
  • The Post Holder must have a Full UK driving license and access to a car.
