The Role

We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal Unit at University Hospital Wishaw

The Registered Nurse will assist the Senior Charge Midwife or Charge Midwife/Nurse in the overall delivery of high quality evidence based family centred care.

The successful candidate will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care within all areas of the neonatal unit. As well as ensuring compliance with NHS Lanarkshire’s policy and procedures, and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC.

To post holder will provide safe, effective person centred care.

What we'll need you to bring

Registered General Nurse/ Sick Children’s Nurse on NMC Register The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology

It would be great if you also have:

Demonstration of professional development in neonatal /paediatric care. Experience in paediatric or neonatal nursing Good understanding of knowledge around current issues in neonatal nursing Demonstration of an awareness of recent research and evidence based practice in neonatal care Good organisational skills Ability to teach and supervise others
