Role:


Reporting to the UK based finance team, and working within a high performing payroll team, we arequire an experiecned US payroll specialist to work alongside local payroll bureaus to ensure accurate montly salary payments.


Responsibilities:

  • To take full responsibility for the twice monthly processing of US and Canadian Payrolls and the monthly Colombian payroll, working with support from third party bureaus on monthly inputs (starters, leavers, salary changes, bonus, commission), compliance and monthly reporting.
  • To be main point of contact on matters related to the allocated payrolls, providing guidance to internal teams (HR, Tax, Finance)
  • To ensure all payrolls are processed, outputs reconciled, and payments made within monthly timelines
  • To ensure urgent matters are prioritised, resolved, or escalated when required to Global Payroll Manager
  • Ensure finance month end routines (journals, accruals, prepayments) are processed within deadlines
  • To ensure confidential processing and communication of all allocated payroll and HR information
  • Oversee correct preparation by Payroll Bureau and information for audit of quarterly return documentation (Federal /State tax)
  • Assist with the Year end audits for payroll information where applicable.

  • Respond to queries and prepare information regarding end of year returns

Requirements:

  • Educated to Alevel or equivalent (Essential)
  • 3+ years experience of managinf US payroll employees) (Essential)
  • Demonstratable experience of US payroll, with detailed understanding of monthly payroll processing, reconcilliations and end of year returns including Audit, State tax, end of year returns and authority submissions (Essential)
  • Proficient in the ise of Excel and Word (Essential)
  • Good numeracy and administrative skills with strong attention to detail as key 'gateway' role in terms of quality of payroll and expense data in the accounting systems (Essential)
  • Highly organised, dynamic, responsible with the ability to manage multiple streams of work within defined timelines (Essetial)
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and selfconfident, a team player with a willingness to tackle both new and routine tasks, escalating matters with colleagues to resolve underlying issues (Essential)
  • Relevant Payroll qualification CIPP/CPP (Desirable)
