We're looking for an exceptional European payroll coordinator to join our payroll team, based in Cambridge.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a critical role within the payroll team ensuring that our European colleagues are paid accurately, timely and compliant with local tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful processing of our European payrolls, currently covering 7 different jurisdictions
  • Working collaboratively with the people team and our outsourced payroll provider to ensure all monthtomonth changes are captured and communicated in a timely fashion
  • Review of all calculations provided by the outsourced payroll provider to verify completeness and accuracy
  • Play an active role in assisting with setting up payrolls in new European territories as required
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any employee payroll queries in the relevant territories
  • Work collaboratively to improve and enhance processes

You'll need to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the finance team's remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.


About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have/be:

  • Payroll management experience, preferably with a European focus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to problem solve in unfamiliar scenarios
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands with clear sense of prioritisation

It would also be helpful if you have:

  • Experience in managing European payrolls
  • Experience of working with outsourced payroll providers, such as CloudPay
  • European language skills desired, but not required
