Position Available:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Staff Nurse at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Responsibilities:

This role is perfect for a registered general nurse, interested in working in our gastroenterology ward with 30 beds.

We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who genuinely cares about providing effective and compassionate person-centered care.

Flexibility is key as you will be expected to work varying shifts to meet service requirements.

We are seeking individuals with drive, energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for this field.

You should be capable of working independently, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, work well in a team, and have a flexible approach. Previous experience in a healthcare ward setting is essential.

Being able to work effectively under pressure, especially with high patient turnover, is a must.

Requirements:

Applicants must have a current NMC PIN.

Registered Nurse

Demonstrated teamwork with the ability to work autonomously

Strong listening and interpersonal abilities

Effective time management

Working Hours:

34.1 hours per week

Important Notice:

As of 1 April 2024, the working hours for NHS Agenda for Change employees in Scotland will be reduced to 37 hours per week, ensuring full-time staff maintain their earnings.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is working towards implementing this change, although some departments may require more time for a smooth transition. In such cases, employees may need to work 37.5 hours per week until the adjustment can be made safely without compromising patient care.
