This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient delivery of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards, quality, production, packaging, warehousing, and logistics.
The ideal candidate will actively promote Norit's vision and values and ensure compliance with all local and global standards, regulations, and procedures.
As an operations manager, your daily tasks will include:nEnsuring compliance with all statutory legislation, SHE, regulatory standards, quality standards (ISO 9001, HACCP, Halal and Kosher certification),nTake on responsibility for reliable and predictable operations to ensure delivery of OEE excellence.
Reducing process variability and improve consistency,nSupporting the transfer of manufacturing technology and systems to and from other sites,nDefining long-term capital needs and support the development of capital budgets, plans, and definition scope,nTaking ownership for the development of site KPIs and the delivery of manufacturing excellence,nWorking with the maintenance managers ensuring that maintenance schemes and operational activities are defined and executed,nManaging and improving fixed and variable costs,nOverseeing performance and career development of all direct reports through coaching, regular feedback & development sessions on a one-to-one basis,nTaking on the responsibility as a member of the site leadership team.
What are we looking for?nBachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering,nMinimum of six years of manufacturing experience in the chemical industry, including three years in a managerial role,nKnowledge of process safety and environmental management.nStrong people leadership and management skills,nEffective team player.nComprehensive understanding of manufacturing and production technology,nFinancial acumen,nStrong analytical skills.
