An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new and innovative role as a Macmillan Assistant Practitioner, Band , to work alongside the Macmillan Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team based within the Area teams.
The post holder will work as part of a designated Macmillan Dermatology Team, delivering evidence based high quality clinical care that focuses on the direct needs of the patient. The post holder will work under the direction and support of a Cancer CNS to implement the Cancer Delivery Plan for patients with Skin / Dermatological Cancer.
The Assistant Practitioner will manage a small defined caseload of patients under the supervision of the CNS and ensure effective communication with patients, carers, multidisciplinary team and the wider health and social care community. They will work proactively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the jobThe Assistant Practitioner will manage a small defined caseload of patients under the supervision of the CNS and ensure effective communication with patients, carers, multidisciplinary team and the wider health and social care community.
