About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes for clients.
  • Contribute to a safe and caring environment by maintaining a person-centered approach to care.
  • Assist with daily duties, supervising, and building strong constructive relationships with service users.
  • Administer medication, prepare meals, and provide emotional support as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with people, particularly those with mental health needs, learning disabilities, or substance misuse issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and work in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 and complete within 2 years.
  • Registration with Care Standards Wales or willingness to gain registration within the first six months of employment.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience within mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, or primary care settings.
  • Experience of acute in-patient settings.
