The VCH Walk in Centre operates 7 days a week from 8am-8pm 365 days a year. We provide the call handling /reception and administrative support within the division.

The Out Patients department operates Monday to Friday pm and provides admin services to WUTH and Community Trust Clinics.

The post involves working across both services and applicants must be willing to complete training to support this position.


Staff are required to work closely with the management team as well as associated clinicians to ensure patients wellbeing and experience is of the highest standard.

Main duties and responsibilities

Receive telephone calls from patient/service users in line with the departments Key Performance Indicators

Enter confidential patient data using computerised information systems in line with Trust Policies and Procedures

Liaise closely with Management Team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the service

Input data onto the computer systems as necessary including entering patient demographics.
