Do you have lived experience of your own mental health condition? Have you been unable to commit to a permanent job because due to this but would like to gain the confidence, skills and experience to be able to get back into work again?


The Norfolk Integrated Housing & Community Support Service (NIHCSS) supports adults (aged over 18) with severe and enduring mental health needs, including individuals with complex needs.


We work with our clients to identify and make changes in a variety of areas of their lives in order to improve their wellbeing.

We aim to support people to achieve their goals and to live as independently as possible in their local community.


As a Volunteer, you could be working anywhere - but what if you could put your skills to use in an environment that lets you do a bit of good? Volunteering as an Administration Assistant within NIHCSS means you'll be working closely with a team of passionate and dedicated people who are dedicated to making a positive difference to people's lives.

Although you may only be available for a few hours a week, your support is invaluable because you'll be helping to keep our busy office fully functioning and help us to assist our incredible staff.

We'll help you learn, acquire new skills and gain further experience to support your career development and help you into paid employment if this is what you wish to do.

Your hours are flexible to suit you although you would be required between office hours Monday to Friday.

You will be based in our supported living sites in NR2 where there will always be staff available to provide advice, support and encouragement.


You will also benefit from our dedicated peer support training and ongoing assistance from our Volunteer Peer Support Co-ordinator with both individual and group supervision sessions.

This role does not attract a salary but reasonable expenses are paid.
