Risk and Compliance Oversight Officer - £37,000 Based on Experience - Wales / Newport

A Building Society has recently come to us with a new and exciting opportunity as a Risk and Compliance Oversight Officer joining their expanding team.


Your new role

As a Risk and Compliance Oversight Officer you will undertake risk-based oversight activities in line with the annual Risk & Compliance Oversight Plan, including planning, testing, reporting and liaising with key stakeholders within the business.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Risk and Compliance Oversight Manager in the Risk & Compliance annual planning process
- influencing key stakeholders throughout the business

  • Producing and providing input into to Risk & Compliance reporting to all internal committees
  • Contributing and engaging with the business to ensure a strong compliance and conduct culture

What you'll need to succeed

  • Good working knowledge of UK regulations (FCA)
  • Experience within a Second Line risk and compliance oversight function, or an internal audit role
  • Analytical skills, including ability to identify the root cause of risks and issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
