Support Manager

We are working in partnership with Community First, a local charity that works to improve the lives of people in Wiltshire and Swindon, including employability programmes, young people's support, and community programmes.

Their outdoor education arm is runthrough two sites at Oxenwood and Linkenholt, and they offer residential activities to schools, scout, guide, and youth groups as well as Duke of Edinburgh activities.

They are now entering into an exciting period, with ambitious plans at Oxenwood to undergoa significant capital upgrade in the coming years.


  • Experience of successfully managing targeted youth support services.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of youth programmes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a wide range of partnerships.
  • Ability to report to people at all levels including Trustees, colleagues, and funders.
  • Experience of motivating people, supervising staff and volunteers.
  • Strong understanding of data collection, presenting an evidence base analysis and report writing.
  • Ability to effectively make presentations.
  • Understanding of local and national youth policy and experience of managing safeguarding disclosures and procedures.
  • Experience of fundraising, especially charitable and statutory funding, would be advantageous.


We are seeking an adaptable, flexible, and creative thinker, who is able to create new provision, take advantage of new opportunities and consider alternative solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines,and manage own workload and those of others will be essential.

**Hours: Full time (36.5 hour week), including some evening, weekend working
