Role Purpose
We are seeking a Helpdesk Support Specialist to provide outstanding support to our employees and ensure seamless hardware and software functionality at all times.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities:
- Resolve technical support issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams or vendors, ensuring comprehensive solutions.
- Track, document, and maintain a log of all helpdesk interactions, including problem descriptions and resolutions.
- Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and solutions.
- Conduct IT orientation and training for new employees.
- Collaborate with IT team members to maintain network and system security.
- Assist in managing inventory of hardware and software resources.
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on systems and equipment.
- Provide out of hours support to the business, this will be on a rota basis.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Good troubleshooting and problemsolving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to explain solutions in userfriendly terms.
- Willingness to continue learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Willingness to earn certifications like CompTIA A+ or
Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Fundamentals are a plus.
