We are seeking an experienced Manager to oversee our Porter Services, which includes both patient and non-patient portering.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring service delivery excellence by providing an effortless end-user experience.

Job Description

Working in conjunction with the client and ISS Facility Services values, you will create a seamless service for all employees and patients, utilising productive and department-led porter services.

You will ensure that all employees are assisted in a calm, confident, positive, and proactive manner at all times.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in using a variety of customer service techniques to meet the diverse requirements of the role and act as an ambassador for the client brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience to all clients, colleagues, and guests utilising mailroom and shipping/receiving services
  • Maximise the financial viability of the logistics operation while maintaining excellent client and supplier relationships and company credibility
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills being able to manage multiple situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Communicate confidently and articulately to employees and guests
  • Use operational knowledge of their service line to provide swift resolution to any challenges experienced by employees or guests
  • Regular interaction with other work streams to ensure service excellence at all times
  • Report all service shortcomings affecting the guest experience within appropriate areas to account for leadership

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Background in managing larger team (experience in portering/hospital not essential)
  • IT literate including MS Office
  • Experience working with large employee numbers.
  • The ability to converse with peers and clients in a genuine, professional, and confident manner
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal calmly and effectively with demanding customers
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
