About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to lead our Colas Rail IM Control and Resource Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation and delivery of our IM & VIU Services, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team during service disruptions and resource shortfalls that threaten our IM & VIU Services.
  • Take charge of resource allocation and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Duty Manager Team Leader and Colas Rail Business Delivery Manager IM to meet contractual and internal KPIs.
  • Attend daily fleet conferences and provide updates on IM Performance figures and Colas Rail IM Daily Log.
  • Manage out-of-hours work acceptance procedures and deputize for the Duty Manager Team Leader as required.
  • Coordinate hotel and taxi arrangements for Colas IM Drivers during out-of-hours operations.
  • Assist the Duty Manager Team Leader in day-to-day delivery of the Colas IM & VIU contracts.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Network Rail Access Conditions and RSSB GERM8000 – master-module.
  • Competent in rostering train crew and ground staff, with knowledge of IT Systems in line with RIS.
  • Personal Track Safety and knowledge of accidents reporting and investigations.
  • Assessed competent to carry out the role of Duty Manager IM, as per Colas Rail UK assessment process.
