The Bartech Workshop Supervisor will support and develop the workshop team, reporting into the General Manager.This role will include the organisation of workshop activities, responsibility for engineer documentation, development of processes and involvement with overhauls and repairs.
This role is based on 50% in the workshop and 50% in the office. Following HSQE policies, procedures, and strategies are essential.The Workshop Supervisor is expected to:
Organise the workshop for Inhouse Engineering projects.nSupport logistical operations of the workshop teamnTake responsibility for workshop equipment, vehicles, tooling, and consumables to ensure they are available, maintained, and safe always.nSupport and complete overhauls and repairs of critical engines and sub-assemblies.nSupport development of Apprentice and Junior Workshop Engineers.nDevelop and support the Workshop SOPs process.nSupport Project Managers to complete work scopes on time and within budget.
Raising any deviations at the earliest opportunity, providing ideas to bring back on track.nReport poor quality items received by our suppliers.nEnsure health and safety practices are always performed to the correct standard and in line with Bartech Marine policies and procedures.nEnsure a safe working environment by leading by example on the implementation of Health and Safety policies, systems, procedures, and legislationsnTake immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety.nCarryout ongoing inspections of workshop to ensure all areas are kept clean.
Report any lack of housekeeping to General ManagernCompile and deliver Toolbox talks to the workshop teamnFull implementation of HSQE Policies and Procedures inhouse
