HR Administrator

We are currently supporting our client in the search for a HR Administrator to help support the HR team through a busy period.
This will be a temporary position for 3 months to help with a ongoing project.
To provide high-quality administrative support to the HR Advice team, ensuring processes and procedures are compliant, meet the needs of the service and support performance and service improvement.
The key roles of this post will include:
- To ensure that records within the HR service are accurately maintained in accordance with audit requirements and the Council's policies, terms and conditions, and financial regulations.
- To support in the preparation of reports and other documentation by providing HR related data.
- To be responsible for the provision of data and information in accordance with statutory requirements, including responses to FOI and Subject Access Requests, and completion of data returns.
- To provide support in relation to the implementation of organisational reviews, policies, processes, systems, projects and initiatives.
- To contribute to specific projects and task and finish activities relating to the effective management and deployment of the workforce and the improvement of the HR & WD service.
- To update and maintain appropriate systems within the service to ensure records and data are accurate and up to date and up to date reports are produced as and when required.
- To be responsible for overseeing the raising of purchase orders, processing of invoices for payment, administration of goods received, raising of debtor invoices and maintenance of manual and electronic records to ensure a high level of accuracy is maintainedand data and reports are produced as and when required which comply with financial requirements.
- To support and assist as required in the administration of meetings and to provide administrative support to HR colleagues to ensure the provision of an effective HR & WD service.
- Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
Knowledge & Qualifications
Essential:
Knowledge and experience of:
- Experience of working in an office environment and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Analysing, interpreting, monitoring and processing of information through the use of databases and information systems
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Prioritising own workload
- Working to strict deadlines
Desirable
Knowledge and experience of:
- Up to date knowledge of current GDPR requirements in relation to HR records
- Experience of working in an HR environment Agresso or similar financial management systems
- HR Information Systems
Hybrid working - mainly from home with the option to work from their office in Gateshead
Role is to start ASAP
