This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Royal Mail. The Traffic Office Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation fleet. Adherence to established standards and methodologies is essential while you:
• Maintain the Distribution Management System with accurate daily data entry and ensure all drivers are debriefed at the end of their shifts.
• Keep Isotrak, Business Asset Tracker, and Vision FTA updated with daily entries to comply with European regulations regarding HGV drivers' hours.
• Distribute vehicle keys and logbooks following Royal Mail protocols.
• Download digital tachograph cards in accordance with company policy.
• Conduct daily debriefs with drivers, escalating any unresolved issues to the shift manager.
• Ensure that vehicle maintenance is performed as scheduled and that the maintenance board and vehicle files are current.
Additionally, you may be required to assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
• Highly organized, self-sufficient, and motivated
• Familiarity with safety and legal standards, including drivers' hours regulations, vehicle inspections, Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
• Previous experience in the mail and parcel industry is preferred.
• Proficient in computer use with strong numerical and literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Capable of entering data within deadlines while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
