Position Title:

Regional HR Consultant Reporting to: HR Business Partner The individual in this role will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering a professional, unbiased, and comprehensive Employee Relations (ER) advisory service and case management support to our organization.

The primary objective of this team is to offer targeted Employee Relations assistance to the organization, ensuring a high-quality service that clearly adds value to the business.

The role involves providing exceptional support to the Human Resources department and the Employee Relations Unit. A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.

This position is office-based, with travel required to facilitate meetings and provide on-site support across various locations.

This will also encompass additional sites as necessary.

Job Overview and Responsibilities:
The nature of the work is high-volume, diverse, and dynamic.

While this role will be stationed in one of our regional offices, travel throughout the designated regions will be necessary.

Regular interaction with Managers at all levels is expected, with a focus on cultivating strong and credible relationships with key internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be pragmatic and solution-oriented, maintaining a balanced, ethical, and impartial approach.

All HR activities will be executed consistently, reflecting best practices and effectively managing HR-related risks to foster positive employee relations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date regional case log
  • Provide weekly case log reports to the ER case manager and HR Business Partner
  • Administer documentation including letters, invites, outcomes, and disciplinary packs, while ensuring proper filing and maintenance of employee records
  • Coordinate meetings, book venues, and assist with note-taking
  • Support the ER case manager on a daily basis
  • Occasionally attend ER, HR, and operational meetings as required
  • Offer ad-hoc assistance to ER investigation managers and HR Business Partner
  • Promote equality and diversity as a core aspect of the organizational culture
  • Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of ER, including providing coverage for colleagues

  • Understanding of confidentiality in handling HR and ER matters
  • Knowledge of Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discriminatory Practices
  • Familiarity with HR legislation and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Flexibility to adapt to the service's needs
  • A full, current driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Experience in the childcare sector is highly advantageous.

  • Note-taking skills
  • Familiarity with I Trent HR system
  • Knowledge of HR.Net
  • Experience in HR and administration
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or progress towards it
