This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the Lending Strategy at a high-profile fintech bank. You'll work hands on with the data,whilst also owning the strategy and driving portfolio performance for a growing business.

THE ROLE
As Credit Risk Manager you will report to the Head of Risk and will be given a key responsibility to ensure all elements of Credit Risk strategy of a growing lending portfolio are covered.
On top of this you will be leading the conversations with the stakeholdersso this is a real chance to make a commercially relevant difference at a popular fintech.
You're remit will include:
- Credit Risk strategy development across the lifecycle including acquisitions and collections
- Driving automated credit decisions, policy rules, affordability assessments and scorecard development
- Optimising portfolio performance through analytical deep dives into performance, identifying risks and opportunities etc
- Designing and maintaining the MI for valueadd analytics and insightful recommendations
- Communicating with top level management
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Credit Risk Manager will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Educated to a degree level in a numerate discipline
- Proven experience developing and optimising credit risk and lending strategies within a consumer lending space
- Skilled communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders up to Board level
- Proven experience with SQL, Python, SAS or R and an ability to remain hands on while the team is small
- Commercial mindset, understanding of issues involved in running a business, and the key financial drivers
- Passionate about challenging the norm and challenging thinking
